SmartConnect API Audit grew from years of mentoring applicants across Japan who needed critique that was specific enough to act on before a hard deadline.
Origin
The practice began when former admissions readers and writing coaches in Okinawa noticed the same pattern: strong candidates sending packets that contradicted themselves across essays, CVs, and letters. We formalized a packet-level audit so applicants could hear those contradictions early—while there was still time to revise.
We remain a small advisory practice. Work is delivered by senior auditors who have sat on selection panels or coached applicants through multi-year cycles. We do not sell seats, courses, or guaranteed placements.
